The WRS Touring Windscreen (model code BM064) is a premium aftermarket upgrade for the 2020–2024 BMW S 1000 XR and M 1000 XR. It is designed specifically for sport-touring riders who prioritize comfort on long journeys and highway rides.

This windscreen offers increased height and width compared to the OEM screen. Its larger surface area significantly reduces wind blast to the rider and passenger. This helps improve comfort and minimizes fatigue on extended rides.

WRS produces the screen in two versions:

• BM064F – Smoked finish

• BM064FS – Dark-smoked finish

Each model is made from 4 mm DOT626-certified PMMA plexiglass. The material is known for high optical clarity, toughness, and resistance to UV exposure. The screen is also TÜV-approved, ensuring it meets legal standards for use on public roads.

Hardware & Installation

The BM064 Touring Windscreen is designed as a bolt-on replacement. No additional brackets or hardware are required. It mounts directly onto the original screen brackets of the BMW S 1000 XR.

WRS recommends tightening all mounting screws to 3 Nm of torque. This prevents both vibration and overtightening, which could lead to cracking over time. Installation is quick and can be done with basic hand tools.

The windscreen is available in two tinted options:
