WRS Touring Windscreen for Ducati Supersport 950 / S 2021-2024
Overview & Design Quality
WRS, a well‑known Italian windscreen specialist with MotoGP experience, developed the DU021 Touring variant specifically for the Ducati SuperSport 950/S. Manufactured from 3 mm PMMA plexiglass, it’s DOT 626 certified and TÜV approved—fully street‑legal and dropping into existing fairing mounts with no drilling or modification required.
Size & Wind Protection
Compared to the OEM windscreen, the DU021 Touring is significantly larger:
-
Approximately 10 cm taller
-
Around 12 cm wider
This increased size translates to noticeably better wind and weather protection, especially beneficial for taller riders or those covering long distances. The larger wind bubble channels airflow effectively above the helmet, reducing buffeting and rider fatigue on highways.
Finish Options & Aesthetics
WRS offers the Touring screen in three distinct finishes:
-
Transparent (DU021T)
-
Smoked (DU021F)
-
Dark‑Smoked (DU021FS)
These finishes complement the SuperSport’s styling—smoked variants give an aggressive, stealthier appeal, while the clear option prioritizes visibility in low‑light conditions.
Rider Experience & Comfort
Rider reports echo the screen’s real‑world benefits:
-
Reduced wind pressure at speeds above ~130 kph
-
Less helmet buffeting and smoother airflow
-
Significantly improved touring comfort.
While dedicated WRS Touring reviews specifically for the SuperSport are sparse, similar feedback from other bikes suggests this battalion works: riders often say WRS screens offer a refreshing balance of protection and style.
Installation Process
A clean, straightforward install:
-
Remove the OEM screen by unscrewing the 4 fairing bolts.
-
If well-nuts fall out, retrieve them (tweezers recommended) and reinsert for reuse.
-
Align the WRS Touring screen with OEM mounting points.
-
Tighten screws to 3 Nm torque per WRS guidance.
-
Ensure no guides or seals interfere—everything fits flush to the fairing.
