Iconic GP70-R Racing Design
The GP70-R has long been one of SC-Project’s recognizable exhaust designs. This de-cat version carries the same racing-focused character while pairing an aggressive appearance with a distinctive acoustic signature. Moreover, SC-Project developed the system specifically for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.
Ultralight Titanium Construction
The exhaust uses titanium for the muffler body, end cap and de-cat link pipe. The supplied technical data lists a 5.7 kg weight reduction, with the SC exhaust weighing 1.4 kg compared with 7.1 kg for the OEM exhaust. SC-Project also describes this as an 80% weight reduction compared with the OEM exhaust.
Furthermore, the muffler features a 70 mm inlet that SC-Project CNC machines entirely from titanium. Handcrafted TIG welds add to the technical finish and reflect the product’s racing development.
Power and Torque Gains
The supplied figures list +13.2 hp at 9500 rpm and +9.5 Nm at 9500 rpm. In addition, SC-Project states that the system enhances power and torque delivery across the low and mid-range.
The GP70-R also produces a distinctive sound. With the removable dB-killer installed, it records 118 dB at 6500 rpm. Without the dB-killer, the figure rises to 123 dB at 6500 rpm. The four-cylinder engine produces deep, aggressive tones through the exclusive outlet.
Detailed SC-Project Finish
An exclusive aluminium riveted plate with a 3D-embossed SC-Project logo completes the silencer body. The design matches components used by the SC-Project Racing Department.
Meanwhile, the kit includes a premium carbon fibre heat shield to complement the Ninja’s appearance. These details give the exhaust a strong racing-focused visual character.
Plug and Play System
The supplied information describes the installation as completely plug and play and totally reversible. ECU remapping is recommended to obtain the best performance.
SC-Project also strongly recommends the ECR+ Electronic Catalytic Remover. Removing the catalytic converter could generate an ECU error. The ECR+ connects to the OBD socket and manages the error.
