Ducabike Brembo Brake Plate Radiator – Ducati Hypermotard / Scrambler 800
The Ducabike Brembo Brake Plate Radiator – Ducati Hypermotard / Scrambler 800 is a braking system component created and developed by Performance Technology. Its design focuses on managing heat generated during braking. It combines special thermal steel with a lightweight alloy heatsink to support heat insulation and dissipation.
Developed through extensive testing, this Brake Plate Radiator uses a dual-function design. It helps reduce heat radiation towards the brake caliper and oil while supporting cooling around the brake pads. Additionally, the manufacturer reports improved braking stability and a reduction in brake pad temperature of up to 20 degrees.

How Does the Ducabike Brake Plate Radiator Manage Heat?
Heat develops during braking and can spread towards nearby components, including the brake caliper and oil. The Ducabike Brake Plate Radiator addresses this through its dual-function design.
First, its thermal steel section helps reduce heat radiation from the brake pads towards the caliper and oil. At the same time, the connected aluminium heatsink assists heat dissipation from the brake pad area.
As a result, the design aims to manage the temperature around the braking components. Moreover, the slotted steel body helps release hot air trapped inside the brake piston cavity, reducing the hot chamber effect and heat propagation towards the piston and oil.
What Materials Are Used in the Brake Plate Radiator?
The Brake Plate Radiator uses two different metal elements to support thermal insulation and cooling.
Its main body consists of special thermal steel with high thermal conductivity. The manufacturer laser-cuts and CNC-machines this component. Furthermore, its slots reduce the contact surface and allow hot air to escape from the brake piston cavity.
The steel body connects to a lightweight alloy heatsink made from special aluminium with high thermal conductivity. This second component assists the heat dissipation process.
What Were the Results of the Brake Plate Radiator Testing?
Performance Technology developed the project over more than one year, testing different configurations and materials. The development process included data acquisition tools and special thermal cameras to examine heat propagation around the brake caliper and pads.
According to the manufacturer’s test results, the product achieved:
- Brake pad temperature reduction of up to 20 degrees.
- Improved braking performance.
- Greater stability at the start of braking.
- Optimum brake pad rollback, resulting in a hot free wheel.
- Up to 25% longer brake pad life due to less temperature-intensive usage.
The development also included more than 500 hours on the circuit and 20,000 km of road testing. In total, the product underwent testing on six different motorcycles under different conditions.
Product Compatibility
The Ducabike Brembo Brake Plate Radiator is compatible with the following Ducati motorcycles:
- Hypermotard: 698 Mono and 698 Mono RVE (2024–2026).
- Scrambler: 800 Café Racer (2017–2020); 800 Classic (2015–2018); 800 Desert Sled (2017–2023); 800 Flat Track Pro (2016); 800 Full Throttle (2015–2020); 800 Icon (2015–2023); 800 Mach 2.0 (2018); 800 Nightshift (2021–2022); 800 Street Classic (2018); 800 Urban Enduro (2015–2016); 800 Urban Motard (2022).
