Custom-Designed Crash Protection

Evotech Performance develops the crash protection specifically for the Ducati Monster V2, with a bespoke design for each side of the motorcycle. This thoughtful design positions the crash sliders away from the rider’s legs while allowing each slider to extend from the motorcycle. As a result, the crash bobbins are positioned to withstand the initial impact and aim to reduce costly damage should an unexpected incident occur.

Robust 60mm Crash Bobbins

The system uses Evotech’s robust 60mm reinforced nylon polymer crash bobbins. Each crash slider extends from the motorcycle and is intended to withstand the initial impact. Furthermore, the reinforced nylon polymer construction forms an important part of the crash protection design.

Secure Two-Point Attachment

A strong two-point connection secures the crash protection to the motorcycle’s existing mounting points. This mounting arrangement gives the system a firm connection on each side. In addition, the left-hand and right-hand brackets can share the impact load through the solid aluminium through-frame bar.

Aluminium Through-Frame Bar

The aluminium through-frame bar provides strength and rigidity while creating a load-sharing connection between the left-hand and right-hand brackets. Therefore, the design distributes impact load across the two sides of the crash protection system rather than relying on a single attachment point.

OE Wiring Cover Retained

The design retains the OE Ducati left-hand wiring cover. Replacement fasteners are supplied for this part, allowing the original cover to remain in place as part of the installation. Evotech also supplies stainless steel replacement bolts produced specifically for the crash protection kit.

Aerospace-Grade Billet Aluminium

Evotech CNC-machines the brackets from aerospace-grade billet aluminium. A durable matt black powder coating completes the brackets, providing the finish specified for the crash protection. Together, these elements create a carefully engineered system for the Ducati Monster V2.
