SC1-R 250 mm Racing Exhaust

The SC1-R muffler represents SC-Project’s benchmark in the WSBK championship. Combined with the de-cat link pipe, it focuses on engine performance and handling for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.

The 250 mm version features a removable dB-killer. With the dB-killer installed, the exhaust records 108 dB at 6500 rpm. Without it, the stated level rises to 115 dB at 6500 rpm.

Carbon Fibre and Titanium Construction

The muffler uses a carbon fibre body and carbon fibre end cap, while the de-cat link pipe uses titanium. The complete SC exhaust weighs 2 kg compared with 7.1 kg for the OEM exhaust, giving a stated 5.1 kg weight reduction.

In addition, the exhaust uses handcrafted TIG weldings, a hydroformed asymmetrical outlet and a sporty carbon fibre end cap. An aluminium riveted plate with a 3D-embossed SC-Project logo completes the silencer body.

Performance and Sound

SC-Project states a power increase of +16.1 hp at 9500 rpm and a torque increase of +12.3 Nm at 9500 rpm. The supplied information also states an improvement in power and torque delivery through the low and mid range.

Furthermore, the four-cylinder engine produces deep and aggressive tones with both dB-killer configurations. The removable baffle therefore allows the supplied 108 dB or 115 dB configuration at 6500 rpm.

250 mm Muffler Details

The muffler features a 70 mm inlet, CNC-machined in full titanium. SC-Project designed this detail for installation and highlights its connection with the company’s racing experience.

The kit also includes a premium carbon fibre heat shield. Moreover, the distinctive carbon fibre end cap and aluminium SC-Project plate add the supplied styling details.

Plug-and-Play Installation

The kit provides plug-and-play installation and is totally reversible. ECU remapping is recommended to obtain the best performance.

SC-Project also strongly recommends its ECR+ Electronic Catalytic Remover with this kit. The supplied information states that removing the catalytic converter can generate an ECU error, while the ECR+ connects to the OBD socket and manages that error.
